Raise the Age Technology Solicitation
The Division has posted an advertisement in the NYS Contract Reporter for Raise the Age Technology. There is no formal RFP for this solicitation and interested parties should submit proposals to supply hourly technology services to modify the existing Caseload Explorer, a proprietary automated case management system currently used by 57 probation departments. Services are being solicited for the purpose of providing necessary automation of critical information and data collection/sharing associated with implementation of the recently enacted Raise the Age law. Any customization of software must integrate with the current Caseload Explorer System. There are currently no procurement contracts in place.Qualified Personal Services Contracts (QPSC)
New York State enters into Qualified Personal Services Contracts only after considering whether state employees can practicably meet the same needs by providing services of the same or better quality at an equivalent or lower cost. State agencies are required to report information about these contracts to the state task force and on their agencies’ websites. Qualified Personal Services Contracts are any new, renewed, or amended state agency contracts with any non-state entity under state Finance Law §163 or §136-A that were approved on or after Aug. 4, 2008. In addition:
- the agency believes a majority of the costs of the contract are attributable to compensation of the contractor's personnel; and
- the agency can reasonably anticipate it will incur costs for the personnel service component of $1 million or more over any 12-month period.
